Special Education (Student Services)

Our Special Education Department at Tarwater Elementary is designed to assist and guide students, teachers and parents throughout their educational experience.  Our team provides support and understanding pertaining to specific areas of eligibility as well as emphasize the importance of working together to maximize educational opportunities.  We believe that this team effort is the best strategy to help students reach their full potential. 

While special education has various terminology and procedures that may seem overwhelming at times, please never hesitate to reach out for support from the resource teacher, therapist, psychologist, classroom teacher or student services coordinator.  It is through this open communication that a comprehensive approach to learning is accomplished and maintained.
