Art Masterpiece

"Every child is an artist.  The problem is how to
remain an artist once he grows up." - Pablo Picasso (1881-1973)Art Masterpiece is a volunteer-based, art education program.  "Art Guides" use reproductions of fine works of art to present are enrichment lessons in an elementary classroom.  Each month the students are introduced to a new artist and learn how to describe and analyze artwork.  During each lesson, the students have the opportunity to apply what they have learned by creating their own original piece of artwork.
 
Volunteer art guides do not need prior teaching experience or an art background.  All training, pre-planned lessons, and materials are provided.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or just receiving more information, please contact our Art Masterpiece Coordinator, Rachel Alwin.
